access all the available placements on the web site without paying a further fee
or deposit to Original Volunteers. The year starts when you arrive at your first
project not when you register and for most projects there is no further payment before

A place is automatically reserved for you on your chosen project.
When do I receive confirmation?
Confirmation of your reservation is made by email within 24 hours (the next working day) . Then you can start organising your trip and buying flights.

What are the chances of not getting the country I want?
98.7% of volunteers since 2007 were offered the destination of their choice.
What happens if just as I register the project fills up?
You will receive confirmation of your place by email within 24 hours (the next working day). If a project is full or unavailable we will contact you to discuss similar alternatives you may be interested in.

What if I need to cancel my registration?
There are no cancellation charges. Original Volunteers offers all volunteers their money back no questions asked if you cancel within 15 days of registering.
What if my plans change and I can’t go?
We know things can sometimes get in the way of your trip. We can hold on to an unused registration for up to 24 months from the date of registering.
